![]() ![]() For me, it's all about expectations - don't tell me something and then not deliver.Pool, Fitness Center, Classes, Clubhouse Dining and Events, Tennis, Pool, Fitness Center, Classes, Clubhouse Dining and events five times a year, at member guest rate, with a full golf member or unaccompanied. If not for the false advertising, I would have given this place a good review - given the limitations of the dated accommodations. Everyone was helpful, friendly, happy and attentive. I will say that the staff at the inn, and all the staff at the slopes were great. I was not disappointed with the condition of the room, as it was what I expected from other reviewers. Genearlly, I have found that if you do your research, you get what you expect. I believe this is the first negative reviw I have ever written. I only live a little over hour from the place, so litterly the only reason I stayed the fixtures and carpet from 70's or 80's was for the nonexistent shuttle service. At this point, I had to take the boots off, get in the car and do exactly what I didn't want to do in the first place, which was park and then drag all that crap to the slopes. When I called the front desk, they told me that the shuttle doesn't run until after noon sometime!!! I was so disgusted that I don't actually know if they said 2:00 or 4:00, but it doesn't matter as either was unacceptable. In the morning, we got all dressed with ski boots on, but when I called the phone # for the shuttle driver that they gave me at check in the night before kept getting a message that the VM wasn't set up for that number. So being able to be able to hop on a shuttle and get dropped off at the base was gong to be ideal. For someone that has never skied before, carrying and dealing with all the gear is a big job. ![]() This was very important to me, because I was taking a 1st time skier. Owned by Seven Springs I opt for this area as my first choice due to the fact it nearly never is crowded for my many visits over past yearsĭespite the ridiculous price for a run down room, I decided to stay at this inn because they state on their website that they provide free shuttle service for all inn guests to the ski slopes. Very unique ski area with challenging trails and long trails. Glacier bar was only food venue open - Food came out fast and was quite good- I opted for a salad with chicken which also had some fries on it. Military discount of 15% on lift ticket and ski shop purchases. Great bargain on new gloves which I needed. Ask for Tom when you go The chair operators, Dave at the front desk, the ski rental folks and the ski shop people were all super friendly and helpful to this 73 years young skier. We became pretty good friends during the two hours we were together. Tom extended my instruction for an hour in his own time which I was most appreciative of. I feel very very confident for my next weeks trip out to Park City Utah. Tom was super patient and knew exactly how to get me back to where I needed to be. I had instructor name Tom who was so fantastic that he got my confidence back and skiing technique to where it was three years ago. After struggling in the morning for about an hour and a half I decided to take a group lesson which turned out to be the group of one for $35. ![]() So I travelled the three hours up to the Laurel Highlands of southwestern Pennsylvania and was pleasantly surprised by very very good conditions on the slopes. I hadn’t skied for three years and was looking for a ski area where I could get my feet back to ski mode.Found out that yesterday March 18 Hidden Valley was still open and the expected temperatures were in the very low 30s. ![]()
